Academic Resources
The Academy is located on a picturesque 200-acre campus where lush rolling hills give way to her playing fields. Our campus is just minutes away from the business, political, and education hub of Morristown, and lies in close proximity to New York City and its endless cultural offerings. The College of Saint Elizabeth shares our campus and we are neighbors to Fairleigh Dickinson University and Drew University, whom we use for enrichment on a regular basis.
Faculty
The cornerstone of any educational institution is its faculty. At the Academy, we are blessed with a diverse group of professional educators, each of whom hold
degrees in the disciplines they teach. These are men and women who are committed to excellence for their students; they approach learning with a spirit of enthusiasm
and intellectual curiosity and they impart these characteristics to the students they serve. Critical thinking and creativity are developed and our students are
encouraged to seek truth always and to reject bias and prejudice. We seek to affirm the religious, cultural, and ethnic heritage of students and faculty; we know
diversity is an asset and welcome the richness it brings to our character. With a student/teacher ratio of 8:1 and small class sizes, our faculty develops a special
rapport with each of our students and is able to individualize instruction when necessary. They are wonderful role models, acting as mentors, coaches, and counselors,
often extending relationships with students well into their adult lives.
Technology
The Academy Technology Center is a singularly ambitious effort designed to keep our young women abreast of the most modern technology as they prepare themselves
for university–and beyond. Our curriculum has been enhanced by providing Smart Boards in several of our classrooms and Internet/Intranet access throughout our facility.
Students are able to communicate regularly with individual faculty members via e-mail and they can keep abreast of assignments via the Internet.
Facilities
Science Labs
The Academy has entered the third millennium on a strong academic footing in the sciences with a new Science Wing modeled after those used at the university
level. The biology, chemistry, and physics labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, supplies, and resources, all for the purpose of encouraging a
hands-on approach to learning and a completely interactive relationship between students and scientific disciplines beyond our walls.
The Moran Library
Our library provides students with access to online catalogs, electronic databases and a large collection of e-books. Please visit our
Library Webpage
for more information.
Art Studio
The Academy has both an art studio and a dance studio. Students use a wide array of learning materials to compose artwork within almost every artistic field,
from visual to the performing arts.
McMullen Theater
The McMullen Auditorium is located on the fourth floor of the Academy. It seats up to 450 people in front of a fully functional stage. The theater provides
students with the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art sound and light processing equipment as well as experience on stage.
