6th, 7th and 8th Grades
Activities begin at 7:00pm in the Study Hall
Our fathers are strongly encouraged to attend this social to be held at Vanderbilt’s in the Hamilton Park Conference Center. There is no charge – you will be guests of
the dads who are members of our Golf Committee. There is no pressure either – just nice interaction among many of our fathers who are interested in becoming friends
with the fathers of their daughters’ new friends. The more you know us, the better your experience at Saint E’s will be – and this is a great way to break the ice!
The event begins at 6:00pm.
Our first dance is open to all grades at the Academy. This is a closed event: We invite young men from Delbarton, Oratory Prep, Saint Peter’s Prep, and Seton Hall Prep
only, and ask to see student IDs before they gain entry. It is important for your daughters to attend this dance to support Student Council activities, to be sure, but
also to begin their socialization at Saint E’s as they consider whom to invite to our semi-formal dance, the Beth Ball, on November 19.
Academy Faculty Meetings – and early dismissal - are a regular calendar event on the first Tuesday of every month. This is not, however, carved in marble – events do
conspire against the meeting, so it is unwise to make early afterschool plans or doctor appointments on these days.
This is a mandatory meeting – a very important night in terms of your familiarity with the Academy and the faculty members whom your daughters interact with every day.
It is not an evening for conferences; rather, you will follow your daughter’s daily schedule in a group, meet her teachers and listen to their presentations with
respect to the curriculum and protocol.
The parent meeting begins at 7:00pm.
These are critical messages to give parents a heads-up if special attention is needed in any given subject. They are mailed to your home well in advance of report cards
to allow ample time for student improvement.
Those wishing to take a November SAT must register by this date.
Classes resume today at 8:15am.
It is our policy to administer PSAT Tests to all 9th, 10th and 11th graders at the Academy. This is excellent practice for them in anticipation of SAT testing in later
years and an early indicator for parents as they prepare, as well.
Please plan to attend our Celebration Mass at 10:30am in our Holy Family Chapel, with a festive brunch afterwards at Rod’s in the Madison Hotel. Reservations are
necessary, so please return the form you received in the mail by the deadline of September 17.
We open our doors to the parents of prospective students. They and their daughters who are currently in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades are most welcome. Registration is not
required!
Activities start at 7:00pm.
While this night is officially dedicated to interaction with the parents of Juniors as they begin the sometimes complicated exercise of the college search, it is a
wonderful opportunity for underclass parents, as well. There is no time like ninth grade to get a handle on what colleges and universities are looking for and what
students need to be doing – from day one – to prepare. Coming to College Guidance Night now will help you gain knowledge and understanding that will definitely reduce
stress and confusion in later years.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm.
A special Liturgy will be offered. All parents are welcome.

This is among the loveliest events held at the Academy and the one, perhaps, that Freshmen mothers hold most dear. Silver, china, candelabra – trappings of a day gone
by for some. For us, the perfect atmosphere to reflect on the relationships of mothers and daughters and the niceties that are passed between them. We are here to
educate and train young women to take their places in a modern world, to be sure, but we also strive to instill in each of them a sense of dignity and refinement that
is so important in a lady.
The Mother/Daughter Tea starts at 2:00pm.
We welcome parents and their 6th, 7th, and 8th grade daughters and friends. Registration is not required!
Activities start at 7:00pm.

daughter’s teachers individually, please call her guidance counselor to schedule an appointment(s). Miss Walsh can be reached at (973) 290-5203 and Mrs. Murphy can be
reached at (973) 290-5205.
Our girls come together to walk our beautiful campus in an effort to raise funds for a variety of “wish list” items that are purchased for the Academy immediately after
the event. In the past, we have used funds for defibrillators, desktop publishing equipment, Dodge vans and SmartBoards. Each student is given a complimentary tee shirt
commemorating the event as she pledges monetary amounts for the distance she walks. The day is ended as Chef Rob provides dessert to a hungry hoard!
This is our semi-formal – an evening for our girls to dress-up in a beautifully transformed Study Hall for a “couples” dance. A magical night, especially for freshmen
and sophomores.

production and to keep ticket prices at reasonable levels for all students, friends and families.

While this is a most important fundraiser for the Academy, it is a very special evening for our seniors, as well. We spotlight members of our graduating class who act
as models in glorious formal attire. This is an evening that is well attended by all of our girls and their moms – from freshman year forward, your daughters imagine
themselves on the runway when it is their turn. It’s an event not to be missed! It’s also a great volunteer opportunity – there are many ways to participate and all of
them bring new moms together to socialize. This is a wonderful way to meet the mothers of the “new” girls who are coming into your daughter’s life right now.

This is the single most important fundraiser for athletics at Saint E’s. More than half of our students participate in at least one team sport at the Academy and costs
escalate alarmingly every year. Fully 100% - ALL – of the money raised from our Golf Outing goes to sports – so its success is crucial to the success of our program.
This event, however, is much bigger than a fundraiser – our dads (and moms) have a great day at Brooklake Country Club and a wonderful social in the evening.
Volunteering for the golf outing ensures a full year of camaraderie with the dads on our committee and a great end in May.
Advanced Placement exams will be given during school days until May 13th. Please see your Guidance Counselor for specific dates and times.

The event will begin at 5:00pm at Mayfair Farms.
Easter break begins today. Classes will resume at 8:15 am on April 16th.

These are critical messages to give parents a heads-up if special attention is needed in any given subject. They are mailed to your home well in advance of report
cards to allow ample time for student improvement.
Academy Faculty Meetings – and early dismissal - are a regular calendar event on the first Tuesday of every month. This is not, however, carved in marble – events do
conspire against the meeting, so it is unwise to make early afterschool plans or doctor appointments on these days.
Those wishing to take a June ACT should register by this date.
Advanced Placement exams will be given during school days until May 18th. Please see your Guidance Counselor for specific dates and times.
Those wishing to take a June SAT should register by this date.

Traditionally, our commencement exercises are held on the Great Lawn where space is not an issue and all students and their families are welcome to attend. In the case
of inclement weather, however, we must proceed into our Holy Family Chapel and, regrettably, limit attendance to the graduating class and family members.
1st Exam: 8:25 am - 10:25 am
2nd Exam: 10:55 am - 12:55 pm
It is important to prepare your daughters for their exams, even as they are doing so themselves. Please make sure they go to bed early, allow enough time for breakfast
either at home or at school, have the necessary pens, pencils, and calculators to take their tests, and remain as stress-free as possible during the entire week.
